Step 1
Choose a sunny spot with loose soil and scatter your poppy seeds over it. Do not cover your seeds with soil, as they need light to germinate. You can, however, press them down very lightly.

Step 2
Water lightly and keep the soil moist until the first shoots appear.

How to harvest new poppy seeds? 
Wait for the flowers to fade and the seed capsules to form. When they dry out and turn brown, remove them from the plant and open them to reveal the seeds inside.
